Time & Tide, Volume 9, published October 2014, contains nine local history papers which were presented at the Skerries Historical Society monthly meetings. Behind each paper is an author; the person who undertook the research. We thank the researchers both past and present for their contribution to our store of knowledge and for allowing us to share their insight with a wider audience. In this volume, among other topics, we commemorate anniversaries: Twenty years of a town twinning relationship with the Canton of Guichen in Brittany and the 75th anniversary of the building of St. Patrick’s New Church. Paddy Weston, loyal member of Skerries Historical Society, passed away earlier this year and we include in his memory Fire Down Below.
