Time & Tide, Volume 10, published October 2016, contains ten local history papers which were presented at the Skerries Historical Society monthly meetings. Thanks to the work and generosity of researchers since the foundation of the Society in 1948, our archive is an invaluable repository for the history of Skerries. The ten papers chosen for this volume include observations by 18th and 19th visitors to Skerries, an essay on the writer and Skerries resident DP Moran, an account of the death of Muriel MacDonagh, Skerries 1917, and histories of the Skerries Building Company, fire brigade service, maritime tradition, American Civil War connection, second level education and community activity.
