Skerries Historical Society was founded in 1948 and ever since its members have contributed research papers on the local history of the Skerries area.

To date over 300 papers have been delivered at the society’s monthly meetings. After the meetings the papers are accessioned to the society’s archive and become available for consultation.

Membership is open to anyone with an interest in local history and the annual membership fee is €10. If you would like to become a member please print the application form, fill it in, and give it to any member of the committee, or bring it along to one of the meetings. Membership is subject to approval by the Society’s committee.
