The registers and roll-books of the Dublin Road schools contain a wealth of information on the social history of Skerries in the first half of the 20th century. Relying solely on these sources and some memories of past pupils, this paper examines the building project, pupil numbers, school organisation, teachers, curricula, family names and occupations. (Overheads of class groups and teachers included).
