During Easter week 1916 the North Staffordshire Regiment under Captain Clay landed in Skerries to defend the Marconi Wireless Station from an expected attack by Thomas Ashe and his band of volunteers. Twenty-three Skerries men who took part in the Rising were arrested and sent to prison. Their biographies provide the main part of the paper. (22 pages).
