A Collection of five pieces taken from the Drogheda Independent, two of which are dated l898, two l907 and one l908. Several are vignettes of Skerries written by some visitors to the town, others factual accounts of contemporary events, e.g. the provision of a regular train service to the town. At that time, l898, there were, between the months of June, July and August, about l,500 visitors residing in this popular seaside resort.
