Synopsis :

A meticulously researched paper, one of two, about these Skerries brothers which details their family background, schools, and subsequent lives. In particular it gives a thorough account of their participation in the Irish Volunteers during, before and after the year 1916.

The paper is illustrated with family and other photos, and also statistics of the participation of ‘Skerries men who were members of the Irish Volunteers’. It gives interesting information on the various internment camps in England and Wales to which many of these men were sent.

The brothers’ subsequent lives in Skerries and elsewhere is well researched, showing their involvement in local and national events.
