Synopsis :
The ‘Wreck of the Sarah of Runcorn’ is used to show how information found on the Internet can differ from one website to another, and indeed from one area of a website to another. Well known and respected websites can and do contain discrepancies which the discerning researcher needs to be aware of. The Internet is a valuable tool in Historical research but information found needs to be carefully checked for accuracy.
